Title: Obsession

Description:

Obsessed with elusive ideals, we often betray our true nature.

Ideas of who we must become can possess us — pulling us away from what we truly are.

This work is a reminder of how easy it is to lose ourselves in obsession, and how vital it is to preserve what was true within us from the very beginning.

Symbol: Pyrite

Pyrite is an iron sulfide (FeS₂) with a distinctive golden metallic luster.

It forms in igneous, metamorphic, and sedimentary rocks, often under high temperature and pressure.

Due to its resemblance to gold, it is commonly known as “fool’s gold” — yet it holds no real value as a metal.

In the context of this work, pyrite represents deceptive ideals — things that shine like treasure but lack true substance.

It serves as a reminder of how easily we can be drawn to the surface and forget what lies beneath.

Handcrafted Wood and Crystal Frame

Personally designed and hand-assembled by the artist. Crafted using natural crystals, minerals, wood, and stainless steel. Blades are secured with powerful magnets and can be freely reconfigured.

Wood: pine and larch

Mounting: steel chain

Minerals featured: obsydian piramids, awakening stone, pyrite

Size: 50x70 cm

Weight: 5 kg

Touched by Fire

The wood used in these frames is treated with fire using the traditional Japanese technique known as Shou Sugi Ban.

Originally developed to preserve wood without chemicals, this method involves carefully charring the surface, which makes the material more resistant to moisture, insects, and decay.

The process not only strengthens the wood — it enhances its texture and reveals its natural grain in deeper contrast.

Each frame is hand-burned, creating a unique surface that combines durability with organic beauty.

Awakening Stone

Inside your set, you'll find an activator. Use it to awaken the stone.

But who knows - perhaps something else hides secrets. Will you be able to uncover it?

Innovative Mounting System

Crafted for ultimate ease of use, the magnetic mounting system offers a seamless installation — no clips, no excess, just pure function.

Now it's all about speed, ergonomic and unseen force. Six powerful neodymic magnets are embedded into the foam-mounted poster. They lock onto the stainless steel panels inside the frame.

Blade Language

Blade Language is the way the Warriors communicate with this world.

Their words are sharp, and understanding them brings irreversible consequences.

In your set, you will find the printed key - Codex of Blades, which will allow you to decipher their messages.

Obsydian Pyramids

Positioned on both sides of the frame,  these dark obsidian pyramids act as black mirrors — silent anchors of the artifact’s inner force.

Formed from rapidly cooled volcanic lava, obsidian is a natural glass — sharp, amorphous, and born of sudden transformation. Used since ancient times for ritual blades and protective talismans, it holds their primal energy.

Each pyramid is set into the polished stainless steel using clear epoxy resin — a strong, nearly invisible medium that fuses the volcanic element with the frame, making it appear as if the obsidian grows directly from the metal.

Steel Blades

Inside your set, you'll find 4 stainless steel blades.

Is it decor, a silent weapon, or a means of a communication?

Or perhaps...all at once?
